Our mission is to create striking interactive media that users will enjoy and remember.
Our primary domain is the web and we believe the web is primarily a communications medium. People use it more to find specific information, than just another way to be passively entertained. Thus primarily, we strive to design accessible information.
Users can and do appreciate good aesthetics during any experience, even if they may not realize it consciously. Thus we also provide style as far as it supports the content and design.
We relate web building more to information architecture, than fine art. Style is important to both, but only insofar as it supports function and design.
Our mantra of best web design practices includeAs humans evolve their technology changes rapidly. This has never been more apparent as in our lives now. TN is adept with most web technologies, and therefore, believe in choosing whichever tools best suit the design goals and philosophies of the project.
Tech is thus secondary to design, but it is a close second. Nothing in these digital realms could even exist without the technology. It empowers us to create, but even the flashiest technology can be used for ill. We try to remain agnostic and practical on these matters, but still, being geeks means we have some personal favourites.
Currently we do most of our work in Cocoa, Python, Flash and Maya. We are big fans of the open source movement, and firm believers in the hacker ethic.
We happily offer our services to interesting clients who need a voice and presence online. We are not interested in creating overproduced sites with many features and little substance.
Many people over the years have figured out that it's not exactly rocket science to build a website. Thats fine with us, we encourage DIY. But just because someone can put up four walls and a roof, so to speak... Doesn't mean they can build a great home.
Our digital media experience can be of great benefit, even to savvy clients. We can help as little or as much as you feel you need. From initial consulting to postmortems.
Still more people have imagined that what the internet needs is another all-in-one kind of place, a segregated world with every imaginable feature crammed under one hood. Those people dream about owning the web. We don't build in that level of scope. We avoid mass-market ventures. Most of our users want something interesting, unique, effective and to-the-point.
Web sites should be as unique as their owners themselves. Each is an individual, and while many may share some common features, the best way to maintain your captive audience, is to present them with "just the facts". People are becoming wise to marking spins and they're sick of commercials. Their eyes have adjusted to not even look at banner ads. We want to help you share the information that they're most interested in, that information which is unique to you.
Here will soon be a gallery of client productions. Interactive experiences speak louder than just words...
